First Day of Homeschool 2020

 Today was the day!!!  It came at a rather awful time but we started and it happened and it was good!!! Lucy is in 8th and Alice is in 6th.  I have been so very excited about spending this time with them and can't wait to do all of the things that have been swirling in my head for all these months. Today, we started with our 'morning basket'...Journey through the Bible, hymn study from Then Sings My Soul and our Scripture Memory Box of verses.  Then, we played a 5 song playlist to complete our 'readies' to...made the bed, brushed teeth, got dressed, tidied rooms/bathrooms and started laundry. We ended with the Hymn we talked about 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.  As it finished, they met me for Math. Then, for English, we ran to the library for books and while we were out, grabbed ChickFilA.  After we got back, we had our "Feet Up" time as I read our read aloud, The Penderwicks. Stones of Remembrance

 Charlie heads to Samford this Friday, and tonight, he was asked to speak and share his testimony as one of 3 men this Wednesday night at (big) church.  He was excited and couldn't wait to share. I don't understand this excitement but it makes me happy that he got this trait from his dad. God has been moving this year in ways I can't explain but know, without a doubt, it is Him. He answered our prayers about a college roomate "exceedingly abundantly more than we could've asked or imagined." He brought Charlie & Zak together and we trust He has a purpose that He has been fashioning since before they met on the basketball court in 7th grade AAU ball. Zak's parents are directors of NEAL FCA and once they decided to room together, Charlie had an opportunity to intern with FCA this summer, along with Zak. This internship lit a fire in Charlie that was so contagious. He learned to share, really share, his faith and it is so refreshing. He loved it so much an...
